My name is Brenda Parks and I am the Family Readiness Group Co-Leader/Treasurer of Charlie Company 27th MSB.

We consist of about 50 women whose husbands are deployed with the 1st Cavalry in Iraq. Our Company, C Co., has approximately 150 soldiers in it, of which 125 of them are deployed to Iraq.

Charlie Company will be having an annual Organizational/Homecoming party when the soldiers return from duty in Iraq. This will occur sometime in late February or early March 2005. We are making “homecoming bags” for each soldier and would also like to decorate the single soldiers rooms for when they arrive back at base. Our goal is to purchase as many items as we can, such as, gift cards, phone cards, personal hygiene items, etc. In order for us, the FRG, to meet our goal, we rely on individual donations.
