POST 642 is located in Sulphur Springs, Hopkins County, TX. It is one of the oldest veterans service
organizations in the county, founded March 20, 1985.

AT 6:30 PM. We meet in the SENIOR CITIZENS CENTER, 150 MLK Dr., Sulphur Spring, TX. |

JOIN THE AMERICAN LEGION
Eligibility for joining the Legion requires that you:
- Are Honorably Discharged from the Armed Services of the US.

Served on active duty during specified periods of wartime, such as WWI, WWII, Korea, Vietnam,
Grenada, Panama, Desert Storm, Bosnia/Kosovo, Iraq and others.

HISTORIC HOPKINS COUNTY COURTHOUSE (built 1894, restored 2003,
pictured before renovation)
Courthouse, looking East on the town square showing the Hopkins
County Veterans Memorial Statue and flagpole. The town square
is used for various veterans celebrations such as Independance Day with a veterans parade, presentation of colors,
symphony concert, patriotic speeches and fireworks.
